Senator Valencia Seay recognizes North Clayton's Student Deja Fambro

North Clayton's Deja Fambro Flying High After State Honor

ATLANTA — Not many Georgia students get recognized on the floor of the Georgia Senate, but most students may not have a resume like the one that belongs to North Clayton High School senior Deja Fambro.

Fambro is active in several groups at North Clayton and has participated in study abroad programs. She has been studying flight since she was 15-years old and helped raise money to send classmates to see President Barack Obama’s first inauguration ceremony in 2009.

For those accomplishments, Fambro was recently recognized on the Senate floor by Sen. Valencia Seay (D-Riverdale) and honored with a Senate resolution. The resolution was authored by Seay and its co-sponsors include fellow Clayton County-based Sen. Gail Davenport (D-Jonesboro).
